What you will need

• Post basic qualification in Nursing Education registered with the SANC.
• Current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse in 392 Nursing Education.

Experience

Qualifications and Experience: A National Senior Certificate plus Basic R425 qualification (Diploma / Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council [SANC] as a Professional Nurse. Experience for Grade 1: A minimum of four [4] years appropriate / recognizable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. Experience for Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years appropriate / recognizable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing and at least ten [10] years of the period referred to above must be appropriate / recognizable experience in Nursing Education after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification in Nursing Education.

• Good Communication, leadership, management, problem solving, presentation, research, basic financial and human resource management skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide education and training for student nurses.
• Facilitate learning of students.
• Accompany students in clinical areas.
