Assistant Manager: Nursing (AREA) (PN – A7) (X1 POST)

What you will need

• Post basic qualification with duration of at least one [1] year accredited with the SANC.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.

Experience

Qualification and Experience: A National Senior Certificate/Grade 12/Matric plus Basic R425 qualification i.e. diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council [SANC] as a Professional Nurse. A minimum of ten [10] years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council [SANC] in General Nursing. At least six [6] years of the period referred to above must be appropriate / recognizable experience after obtaining the one [1]-year post- basic qualification in the relevant specialty. At least three [3] years of the period referred to above must be appropriate / recognizable experience at management

Professional registration

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing services for in-patient care, outpatient care, chronic inpatient, outpatient services, occupational services, occupational, infection and quality assurance services.
• Implementation of the nursing plan [Clinical, Practices/quality of practice].
• Practice nursing and health care in accordance with laws and regulations relevant to nursing and relevant care.
• Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing & other stakeholders.
• Utilize human material and physical resources effectively and effectively.
• Promote care for ethics and professionalism.
