Assistant Director: Design/Develop Profile Mechanism [NCB3]

What you will need

• Relevant Degree/National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Behavioural Sciences.
• Successful completion of the Correctional Science Learnership or Basic Training.
• Computer literate.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Competencies And Attributes: Knowledge of the Correctional Services Act, Act 111 of 1998, as amended.
• Knowledge of the relevant Sections of the Criminal Procedure Act 51/1977.
• Assertiveness, networking / liaison with internal and external stakeholders, report writing, negotiation, facilitation, presentation, project management, research, communication, listening, stakeholder management, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Decision making, people management and empowerment, integrity and honesty, confidentiality and good interpersonal relations.

Experience

At least 5 years relevant experience gained in a supervisory post (NBC2).

Driver's licence

Valid driver’s licence.

• Facilitate the development and maintenance of systems for offender profiling mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain mechanisms to establish and profile crime categories.
• Conduct profiling and research.
